My favourite questions #2

Today, I’m continuing my new series focused on the questions I use repeatedly in my coaching practice and my own journaling. In the spotlight today is:

What do you need to let go of?

I often find this question brings up a whole load of things, big and small, that we didn’t know we were holding on to and that aren’t serving us well.

I find it is most powerful to ask at points of transition. It’s a simple question that prompts us to think about what it is we don’t want to carry with us on the next part of our journey. To choose to get rid of all the things that are weighing us down?

This is one of the questions I ask myself daily in my end of day review. It helps me to think about the next day as a fresh start and focus on taking forward only the things that will help me to have a good day tomorrow.

Try asking yourself this question periodically and see what weight you can lift off your shoulders.
