As a coach, facilitator and writer I help individuals and teams to pause, reflect and make conscious choices about what’s next. I work with people who are at pivot points in their careers and teams who want to improve their ways of working together.
I work from home in Newcastle upon Tyne and frequent a number of co-working spaces in the city and surrounding areas.
Before becoming a coach I worked in higher education for ten years. Always within professional services, I started out in libraries and later moved into instructional design and communication.
My coach training is from Barefoot Coaching and I’m working towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Business and Personal Coaching with the University of Chester. I’m a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and International Association of Facilitators (IaF).
Outside of work you’ll find me watching too much sport, playing hockey and cricket, getting creative in the kitchen, walking by the sea and drinking real ale. But not all at once!
My values in action
I speak and write a lot about values and their ability to guide our actions. Understanding my core values has been incredibly important as I’ve worked through a significant period of change.
Clearly identifying and expressing my values, as a manifesto of sorts, gives me something to strive for and hold myself accountable to.
An unwavering belief in who I am and what I have to give.
Being open to new ideas and opportunities. Staying curious and sharing what I learn.
A solid footing from which to grow and thrive.
The foundation for all relationships, built on honesty and clear communication.
